DreamGF AI and Kindroid Comparison: Renewal and Memory
Both Apps Hand You a Blank Character
Two pricing pages, two blank character sheets. DreamGF's policy says its discounted first year renews at the equivalent of $25.99/month. Kindroid opens on a backstory field that waits for you to decide who she is.
That's the honest starting point, because these two are the same kind of app. DreamGF lets you set appearance and personality, while Kindroid goes a step further with a custom backstory, an appearance and a voice you choose. Either way, the face, the temperament, the history and the voice all come from you.
A disclosure before the opinions: I haven't tested either app, or GoLove. Everything below comes from pricing pages, published features and the screenshots on hand. Even on paper, though, one thing jumps out that a binge-watcher will feel on night one. As far as we could confirm, a builder hands you a character and no plot, and nothing happens until you write it.
So I'm adding a third route, and it's the one I end up recommending. GoLove.ai's Series are Netflix-style vertical 18+ dramas, and every star is a GoLove character you can chat with once the episode ends. That makes this two builders and one show. The builders split on price and memory. The show changes the question.

The Show Route: Episode One of My AI Girlfriend
You land on GoLove's Series tab: 9 series and 54 episodes as of 2026-11-01, with new episodes every week, per GoLove. Each episode is a 60–100-second vertical 9:16 clip with subtitles in English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Czech, Russian and Ukrainian.

The one I'd start with is My AI Girlfriend, 7 episodes starring Lexie (@iamlexiebabe). A black box lands on Milo's doormat, addressed to the girl next door, and inside are glasses that bring his perfect girl to life. Episode one doesn't need an account, since episodes 1 and 2 of every series are free.
What I expected after the credits was a "subscribe now" wall. What the screenshots actually show is four buttons under the player: Follow Series, Start Chatting, Create Video and Create Image. Tap Start Chatting and you get the part I couldn't confirm either builder offers. Lexie arrives with a story already running, with no backstory field and no blank sheet.
Know this before you get hooked: from episode 3 on, a free account needs PRO, and PRO members unlock each further episode for a few Stars. But the first two cost you nothing beyond a couple of minutes, and the cast is already sitting in chat when they end. That makes it the cheapest test in this whole comparison, so start there and pick who you want to talk to.
DreamGF's Price Has Two Chapters
You'd expect one price. DreamGF's pricing policy lists two:
- Year one: the discounted first annual payment works out to about $5.83/month. That rate covers the first year only.
- Renewal: monthly, three-month and annual renewals all work out to $25.99/month.
- Tokens: membership includes 100 a month. Media and character creation both draw from them.
The homepage muddies this. It still shows older Bronze/Silver/Gold/Diamond prices that don't match the policy, so I'm quoting the policy (it's the document that says what actually renews on your card). In DreamGF's favor, it advertises a free trial and a daily message claim. That's legit free access, and Kindroid doesn't match it.
Kindroid's Case Is Memory and Calls
Where DreamGF wins on price, Kindroid's documented strengths go deeper:

From Lexie's Chat to Photos and Video of Her
With a builder, you write the character first. With GoLove, the character is already written, and you pick up where the episode stopped. The loop runs like this:

- Open her chat. After the episode, tap Start Chatting, open Lexie's profile, then her chat.
- Request a photo. Tap the media button, choose Send Photo and describe the scene in your own words. A photo of that same character arrives in about 20–45 seconds for 1 Star. Her face and body stay consistent with her avatar and earlier photos. Explicit requests work for adult characters.
- Turn it into video. Under the photo, tap Generate Video. You get a roughly 5-second clip of that scene in about a minute, for 10 Stars.
How do the builders compare here? DreamGF also sends generated photos through chat, but its media runs on tokens, and we could not confirm what each photo or clip costs. Kindroid's selfies and video selfies look pretty good on paper. To me the real difference is context. Lexie comes with a premise and a cast from the show, so your very first photo request already has a scene to sit in. With a builder, as far as we could confirm, that scene is yours to invent.

No app sweeps this table, and I'd be suspicious of anyone who says one does. Kindroid takes memory and video calls, the two rows its whole pitch rests on. DreamGF takes the cheapest first year and the most open free access. GoLove takes story and media depth: it's the only column where we could confirm a plot, and the only one where we could confirm a per-item price for photos and video.

What We Couldn't Verify About Kindroid and DreamGF
Here's where the facts run out:
- Kindroid pricing: we could not confirm its current prices.
- DreamGF details: we could not confirm how deep its memory goes. We also could not confirm the token cost per photo, voice item or new character, or whether the discounted intro year will keep running.
- Free accounts: we could not confirm what a free account can do anywhere beyond what's listed here. On GoLove, that's episodes 1–2, the 2 daily Stars and a limited daily Feed.
- GoLove's ULTRA tier: we could not confirm its monthly Star amount, and GoLove's prices vary by region and promo, so the number you see may differ from mine.
If I could fix one thing at GoLove, it would be the free tier. Two episodes is a tease by design, and for anyone who wants to judge a whole show before paying, that falls flat. Still, none of these gaps flips the verdict, and laying them out plainly is what makes the verdict worth trusting.

What I'd Do With One Evening and Episode Two
Given one evening, here's my split. It's a use-case call, not a sweep.
Kindroid is the pick if memory-first companionship and video calls are the point. Those are its documented strengths, and it wins both rows. DreamGF makes sense if you want the cheapest builder for year one and can live with the $25.99/month renewal rate after it.
For a binge-watcher, though, GoLove.ai is the pick. Watch episodes 1–2 of My AI Girlfriend, tap Start Chatting with Lexie and spend 1 Star on your first requested photo. GoLove earned the spot for one concrete reason: Lexie arrives with a plot, then sends photos and videos of that same face on request.
