Bitten by Both Sisters — Episode 1: First Taste

Our tale opens in the woods, a month after Daniel walked in alone and was carried out dead. There was not one bite on him, only an old silver ring locked in his fist and a torn scrap of black lace. Jonah hunts vampires for a living. On the night Episode 1 begins, he finds that lace again, worn by a platinum-haired vampire feeding on a man across the railway tracks.

Morrigan is not afraid of him. She laughs and teases. She moves faster than anything he has ever tracked, and she knows how good it feels to make him chase. "Tick, tock, hunter." He has one silver bullet and one shot, and this time it lands. She only pouts, "Ow... rude," and melts into the dark. Then the plot twists its knife. A burning blooms on Jonah's own chest, right where his silver tore into hers.
