My AI Girlfriend — Episode 2: Five Minutes With Her

Chapter two of My AI Girlfriend opens on a question Milo can't stop asking: is Lexie only light? "Does it matter?" she answers, and lets him reach for her. She feels real, real enough that he forgets the glasses resting on his face. He tells her he wants her, and she tells him to take her. Then a cool voice breaks the spell: one minute left. It is just long enough for a taste, and then Lexie flickers into nothing. The trial has ended.

A prompt hangs in the air: continue with Lexie? Milo swipes his card before reason can catch up. Payment confirmed. "Welcome back, Nora." The name slips past him, because Lexie is back on his desk, smiling. This time no voice interrupts the night. By morning she is pouring his coffee in nothing but lingerie and promising to stay forever. Then comes the question he has been dreading: the glasses called you Nora. Who is she?
