My AI Girlfriend — Episode 4: The Neighbor Saw Something

Saturday arrives, and Episode 4 lets the romance breathe. Lexie twirls in a short pink dress and asks how she looks. Perfect, Milo says, and he means it. He takes her to the park, and for one golden afternoon the illusion holds completely: she chases leaves, steals licks of his ice cream and holds his hand all the way home. Best day ever, she declares. Every Saturday from now on.

Then the narrative snaps. Outside his building stands Nora. Milo tears off the glasses and shoves them into his pocket, a silent apology to Lexie, praying Nora saw nothing. She is not smiling. She waited for him at the café, she says. He answered 'yeah, yeah' at his door and missed every word. She figured; he looked miles away. And as the two of them stand there, something in his pocket begins to glow pink.
